High-School Volleyball Coach Jonathan Roldan Accused of filthy sex

High-School Volleyball Coach Jonathan Roldan Accused of filthy sex

Last year, our Scholarship Committee sent to numerous teachers, including Jonathan Adam Roldan, 23, of East Los Angeles, a teacher at Esteban E. Torres High School in East L.A a series of Volleyball scholarship applications to be distributed to students at his high-school. The 23 year-old teacher never responded to our written requests that eligible students be notified of our California Scholarship opportunities.

Now, we know why Jonathan Adam Roldan was so busy. Last week, local and national media report that high-school teacher Jonathan Adam Roldan was arrested on suspicion of having perverted, inappropriate, and unlawful sex with a student. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed the arrest of the Volleyball coach. When specifically questioned by a reporter 'Did you rape a kid?', he had no immediate response. When questioned by this blogger: Did you distribute California Volleyball Scholarships literature sponsored by National Academy of American Scholars? , the rape suspect had no answer to that question either.

California Volleyball players are some of the most dynamic players in the entire U.S.A., and these young students need to be kept abreast of all availiable scholarships, grants, and financial-aid.

Myth of No Unclaimed VolleyBall Scholarships disputed by Scholarship Blogger

In the early 1990s, Mark Kantrowitz, whom the national media has fraudulently labeled as a "financial-aid expert", repeatedly attacked organizations whom sponsored scholarships that he claimed were "nothing more than lotteries". When offered a high-paid executive position by Scholarship Points, the media-appointed financial-aid expert changed his opinion, lifted his skirt, and accepted the position. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rejected the trademark application of Scholarship Points, and claimed that the employer of Kantrowitz was simply a social gaming company that dispensed lottery-style scholarships by chance or gaming points.

Mark Kantrowitz also claimed there is no such thing as "unclaimed" scholarships. I rebut and dispute his claims. There are unclaimed Volleyball scholarships, and there are unclaimed California scholarships, and there are even unclaimed phony 'financial-aid experts' waiting to be plucked by the highest bidder. By buying Mark Kantrowitz or paying him a high salary, Scholarship Points is assured that it no longer needs to be labeled a lottery scholarship sponsor or a scam scholarship sponsor. When a clever publicity-seeking, self-promotion artist, has never managed a multi-million dollar portfolio of scholarships, grants, and financial-aid, it is easy for him/her to guess, and create the illusion having "expert" knowledge on a topic he/she is ill-qualified to address.

Jonathan Adam Roldan Refused to Distribute California Volleyball Scholarship Applications

National Academy of American Scholars reports correctly that millions of volleyball scholarship dollars go unclaimed every year. Ask Jonathan Adam Roldan. When he is not teaching volleyball, police reports claim he is soliciting naive under-age girls for dirty acts, filthy acts, and outrageous acts of a perverted nature. Who has time to promote boring scholarships, grants, and financial-aid, is what Jonathan Adam Roldan was probably thinking to himself. Police reports suggests that Jonathan Adam Roldan was promoting his male services that had nothing to do with the promotion, and solicitation of scholarships, grants, and financial-aid opportunities sponsored by National Academy of American Scholars. Founded in September of 1988, in Claremont, California, how is it possible that any California teacher has not heard of and is not linking to National Academy of American Scholars? Jonathan Adam Roldan knew or should have known, or asked his parents, on the importance of scholarships, grants, and financial-aid sponsored by National Academy of American Scholars. Instead, assuming police reports are accurate, helping kids with scholarships and grants was the last thing on his mind.

Scholarship sponsors may distribute scholarship literature to schools, teachers, and guidance departments, but the same schools may not distribute the literature, or may do so sparingly. The reasons vary. Therefore, few eligible students are notified of scholarship awards if his/her guidance department or teacher fails to notify the student. This is is a common occurrence, and contradicts the incompetent claims of phony of media-appointed phony financial-aid experts.

Police Number to Call: 1-(800)-PERVERT: 800-222-8477

An investigation into the alleged incidents of Jonathan Adam Roldan is ongoing. Authorities urged anyone with information about the alleged incidents or other potential victims to contact detectives at (877) 710-5273 or leave information anonymously at (800) 222-8477.

Perhaps Jonathan Adam Roldan should date Laura Elizabeth WhiteHurst. Laura Elizabeth WhiteHurst is a former Redlands School District teacher that escaped punishment for molesting teen boys. Both of these California teachers refused to vigorously, and aggressively promote scholarships, grants, and financial-aid sponsored by National Academy of American Scholars.

Jonathan Adam Roldan Scandal Affects on California Volleyball Scholarships

Fortunately, the Jonathan Adam Roldan arrest has no affect on the California Volleyball Scholarships that we sponsor, or on pending California scholarship applications.

For California Volleyball Scholarships, grants, and financial-aid, not ditributed by Jonathan Adam Roldan, please see this page:

Blogger Rates The Scholly Scholarship App an 'F'

Blogger Rates The Scholly Scholarship App an 'F'

The Scholly Scholarship App has received an excessive amount of media publicity as of late. The Scholly Scholarship App has received main-stream media attention as well as attention from students, parents, and educators since it was launched in or about May of 2013. The Scholly Scholarship App is a mobile application that presumably searches for scholarships, grants, and financial-aid based upon pre-set options of the resident state a scholarship applicant lives in; the race of the scholarship applicant; the GPA of the scholarship applicant; the gender of the Scholarship applicant; the major of the scholarship applicant; and, the grade of the scholarship applicant.

The Scholly Scholarship App also has a processing or purchase fee. According to media critics, and the FTC, consumers should be cautious because the fee is suggestive of a scholarship scam. However, is The Scholly Scholarship App really a scam? Are the creators of the Scholly Scholarship App intentionally trying to take advantage of students and parent's frantic search for scholarships by requiring a 'fee' for information that is already in the public domain, or is the Scholly Scholarship App providing a useful service that merits a fee?

The Scholly Scholarship App: Rising Tuition, Student-Debt, and Greed Increases Scholarship Entrepreneurs

With virtually no experience in the administration, management, or development of scholarship search, scholarship administration, or scholarship selection protocols, the new millennium of 2000 has witnessed a surge of Scholarship Entrepreneurs. Skeptics have referred to these new-breed scholarship entrepreneurs and new-breed scholarship operators as synonymous with crooked pastors: promising scholarship glory, or promising to create, find, or search for scholarships-- all for a fee. According to Financial-Aid Expert Mark Kantrowitz: You should not have to pay money to get money. The Scholly Scholarship App is not free. Students, parents, and users of The Scholly Scholarship App are being asked to fork over .99 cents. The Consumer Division of the Federal Trade Commission warns consumers of paying more than a postage stamp for scholarship information; 99 cents is more than the cost of a postage stamp. Relying upon the 'expert' advice of Mark Kantrowitz, and the FTC, one may certainly consider or regard The Scholly Scholarship App as a scam. However, such a conclusion may be too premature. Read on!!

Is the Scholly Scholarship App A Scam since it Costs Money?

Is the Scholly Scholarship App A Scam? On January 24, 1996, FinAid Page, Inc. owner, and self-professed Financial-Aid Expert, Mark Kantrowitz, was quoted as saying "Beware of any 'scholarship' (scholarship product) which requests an application fee " On February 8, 1996, the President of the Boston chapter of the Better Business Bureau, stated:"Any time you have to pay money to get money for a scholarship, you should be wary." The consumer division of the Federal Trade Commission makes discreet but direct warnings against paying even a penny for scholarship information, directly or indirectly.

According to Kantrowitz, his top four rules of thumb for ascertaining scholarship scams are as follows:

  1. If you must pay money to get money, it might be a scam.
  2. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
  3. Spend the time, not the money.
  4. Never invest more than a postage stamp to get information about scholarships.

By way of the FTC, the Better Business Bureau, and the theories of self-proclaimed Financial-Aid Expert Mark Kantrowotz, it is a perfectly legitimate and reasonable question to ask: Is the Scholly Scholarship App a Scam? If you accept the above-stated rules of thumb, and the FTC opinions, then the unmistakable conclusion is that the Scholly Scholarship App is highly suggestive of a scam and that the Scholly Scholarship App has certain characteristics of a scam.

I emphasize that these rules of thumb do not necessarily mean or imply that the Scholly Scholarship App is a scam. The download, purchase, or app processing fee is a red-flag that should be considered as a caution to consumers or educators. In fact, the creators of the Scholly Scholarship App have a legal right to assess a processing, purchase, or download fee to their mobile scholarship application if they opt to pursue that option.

At the same time, however, moms, women, educators, and students have a legal choice to ignore the Scholly Scholarship App. Consumers have choices. The Scholly Scholarship App creators have choices, and their choice was to require hard-working, financially-strapped students, to pay a download, purchase, or processing fee for simple information that is already in the public domain. Their choice could have been to perform a noble public service and allow the app to be free.

Inferior Reviews of the Scholly Scholarship App by Unqualified Reporters.

The inadequate, inferior, and mind-numbing reviews of The Scholly Scholarship App are more impressive than the app itself. Let me cite some examples. Julia Craven of the USA TODAY, a Collegiate Correspondent wrote a review of the Scholly Scholarship App that makes one wonder Why. Who, and How she got hired for U.S.A. Today. For example, consider this article dialogue:

"The fact that it's on the mobile (phone) really hits the audience," says Soham Bhonsle, 21, a Scholly user and Drexel University senior. "It serves the need of its time. We want it on the go."

"Pay 99 cents and you may get $5,000 or $6,000 in scholarships," Soham Bhonsle says.

The app potentially has a huge payoff, Soham Bhonsle says.

Essentially, the entire article is a one-sided promotion of a suspicious product or service with virtually no written content or objective questions being asked by or written by the U.S.A. Today reporter. Neither did the U.S.A. Today reporter deduce whether or not Soham Bhonsle is a valid independent critic to interview, and neither did the U.S.A. Today reporter question his relationship to either the app or its creators.

If you analyze the key phrases spoken by Soham Bhonsle, they are suggestive of a scam. He said: "Pay 99 cents and you may get $5,000 or $6,000 in scholarships." Why didn't he say you may get a $100 or $200 scholarship? His statements may legally be interpreted as an inducement to pay (or gamble) the .99 cents in hopes of winning a large scholarship pay-off although he provides no disclaimer of how many users have won $5,000 or or $6,000 before, and neither did he offer ANY statistics.

The article review by U.S.A. Given her questionable employment credentials. U.S.A. Today Reporter Julia Craven never challenged that statement, and the same statement remains posted on the U.S.A. Today page by U.S.A. Today Reporter Julia Craven.

The app potentially has a huge payoff, Soham Bhonsle says. True. The app has a potentially large pay-off for its creators, but I doubt any student will find a legitimate scholarship listed by the Scholly Scholarship App that they can't find elsewhere for absolutely free.

Dana Dean, a reporter with KSDK News Channel 5 in St. Louis, MO, scripted a poorly produced video review of the Scholly Scholarship App. While discussing the features of the app, she attempts to zoom in on the app but the camera lacks the proper focus, and the image appears fuzzy; like her brain, I suppose. Instead of asking important questions that real consumers, not shrills, want to hear, she goes on and on endorsing every aspect of a suspicious product without providing any meaningful investigative content.

Apparently, Dana Dean never bothered to read the FTC memo on scholarship scams. That could possibly be explained by a lapse of the atoms, molecules, and neurons gathered in the cerebral cortex region of her brain, or another explanation could be that she simply was not qualified to discuss the topic that she was discussing. Ask Dana Dean to explain the characteristics of various quadric surfaces, identify their symmetries, and determine the character of the plane sections that are perpendicular to their axes, and most likely Dana Dean will fumble the answer.

Neither Dana Dean nor U.S.A. Today Reporter Julia Craven are qualified to either write a review of any scholarship program, any scholarship app, or any financial-aid product or service, just like they are not qualified to provide investment advice to a multi-millionaire; which of course, he/she would most likely not hire either one.

Better Alternatives to The Scholly Scholarship App: NAAS Scholarship App.

As a general rule of thumb, beware of mobile apps or hyped-media products that have names that are not legally protected, or on file with the U.S. Patent & Trademark office because such products may be copycats. I have found no record that the creators of The Scholly Scholarship App have filed any legal notices with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office affirming their right to use Scholly Scholarship App name.

The NAAS Scholarship App is currently in production, testing, and review. It will feature all of the characteristics of the Scholly Scholarship App, but do much more. Unlike the limitations of the Scholly Scholarship App, it will be a fast, native scholarship application, and accomodate all persons seeking scholarships, grants, and financial-aid. The NAAS Scholarship App, code-named Project X1, will be one of the greatest and most impactful Scholarship Apps in the history of the United States of America. It will first be promoted to NAAS Scholarship Club members, and then to the general public. Reviewers of this article are urged to register with the NAAS Scholarship Club for a free download.

One of the salient features of the NAAS Scholarship App is that students will be able to apply for actual scholarships directly from their mobile phones. Numerous partners have already been recruited, and Scholarship Club members will be able to take advantage of the numerous benefits, privileges, and services, and features for FREE!

Yes, the NAAS Scholarship App will be completely for FREE because searching for scholarships should be free.

We urge students, undergraduates, to join the NAAS Scholarship Club for free updates, and to receive a free download of the NAAS Scholarship App when it is available.

Why The Scholly Scholarship App Deserves an 'F' Grade

There appears to be no feature or service within the Scholly Scholarship that is either unique, novel, original, or cannot be easily replicated by a well functioning mobile website. Is the Scholly Scholarship App native or original? The creators of the Scholly Scholarship App do not disclose that information. There is too much missing information.

Although I admire the entrepreneurial spirit of the kids who created The Scholly Scholarship App, I am far from impressed with the features, lack of creativity, lack of disclosures, and functions of the Scholly Scholarship App.

For university graduates of an NCAA school (Drexel University) to create a product that merely duplicates public information and transfers it to a mobile platform and expect the public to endorse the product (via a purchase fee) is outrageous and juvenile. A teenage drop-out can produce a better product.

Scholly Scholarship App Creators are Graduates from Drexel University

The creators of the Scholly Scholarship App are graduates of Drexel University. The main-stream media would have you believe that Drexel University is in the same class of distinction and prestige of an NCAA Division I university. In fact, Fox News and other media channels have named Drexel University in articles and reported that for-profit colleges "dubious training have led massive portions of students to default on their student-loans."

As I stated above, The Scholly Scholarship App lacks the tell-tale signs that it was created by a Division I graduate of a prestigious university like Purdue University, Harvard, M.I.T., Cal-Tech, etc. Drexel University has a for-profit component with the exact same name; what a brilliant idea??!

It is not clear if the creators of The Scholly Scholarship App received their degees and training from the for-profit Drexel University or the private Drexel University. If the Scholly Scholarship App creators received their training from a for-profit school then they are in the same league as the University of Phoenix, Kaplan, etc. Being graduates from a for-profit school would explain a lot of things, including the decision of Drexel University to delete a reference of this article from their FaceBook timeline that several students had already 'liked'; and, the fact that the Scholly Scholarship App is so lacking in creativity, originality, and why the creators are banking on this app -- instead of their Drexel University "degrees"--- to fuel their career.

Explanation of Grade 'F' to the Scholly Scholarship App

It is my opinion that The Scholly Scholarship App is another over-hyped product by misinformed and unqualified members of the media desperately seeking to apply "success" to virtually any product or service produced by or affiliated with young college kids or young college adults. For example, read my critical review of Black Girls Code, and the fact that I have yet to receive the requested tax returns verifying the legitimacy of this alleged tax exempt group, and neither has the founder Kimbery Bryant answered a single one of my questions.

My recommendation to creators of the Scholly Scholarship App is to: apply your degree in the real world. Becoming a Scholarship Entrepreneur is not what the world needs. We need engineering, science, and medical talent. Leave scholarship tasks to the persons with 15 or more years of experience.

For the reasons above, and more, I issue a letter grade of 'F' for the Scholly Scholarship App. I would not recommend The Scholly Scholarship App product or service to any student. No student simply searching for scholarships, grants, and/or financial-aid should be taxed a fee disguised as a purchase in any form, manner, or way. Wait for the free NAAS Scholarship App. It will be well worth it. Register now for FREE DOWNLOADS.

Teachers Gone Wild: Redlands teacher Laura Whitehurst Accused of filthy sex

Teachers Gone Wild: Redlands teacher Laura Whitehurst Accused of filthy sex

Last year, the Scholarship Committee of National Academy of American Scholars reports that they sent to numerous teachers, including Laura Elizabeth Whitehurst, a teacher at Citrus Valley High School, a series of scholarship applications to be distributed to students at her high-school. The 28 year-old teacher never responded to their written requests that eligible students be notified of important California Scholarship opportunities.

Now, we know why Laura Whitehurst was so busy. Last week, local and national media report that high-school teacher Laura Elizabeth Whitehurst was arrested on suspicion of having perverted, inappropriate, and unlawful sex with a student. The Redlands Police Department confirmed the arrest of the Redlands high-school teacher. Redlands Police also claim Whitehurst gave birth to a child police say was fathered by a teenage student.

Statutory Rape Allegation Against Laura Whitehurst

What is the legal definition of rape? Depending upon how you want to dance around the term, several definitions describe the same act. Different states use different definitions. Many Americans simply use one four-letter word, beginning with the letter 'F.' Legal scholars and legal dictionary books define statutory rape as sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of consent. However, given the U.S. Constitutional equality of the male and female, and pursuant to the mathematical theory of the substitution property of equality, it is clear that girl may be interchanged with boy and have no material affect on the legal definition of rape.

In the instant case of Ms. Laura Whitehurst, it is alleged hereon that an act of rape (i.e, inappropriate and/or abusive sex with a person(s) under the age of consent) took place. The definition hereon is immaterial to the consent or perceived "enjoyment" of the victim(s) and parallels the current criminal charge(s) against Ms. Laura Whitehurst. Clearly, rape laws need to be updated to take into account the emerging gross perversity of certain sectors of the female species, whose conduct appears to be motivated by both known and unknown social variables.

Laura Whitehurst Refuses to Distribute California Scholarship Applications

Mark Kantrowitz, whom the national media has fraudulently labeled as a "financial-aid expert", claims there is no such thing as "unclaimed" scholarships. Given the fact that this purported "financial-aid expert", and clever, publicity-seeking, self-promotion artist, has never managed a multi-million dollar portfolio of scholarships, grants, and financial-aid, it is easy for him to speculate, to guess, and to create the illusion of him having "expert" knowledge on a topic he is ill-qualified to address.

Teachers like Laura Whitehurst and guidance department personnel have their own personal or political agenda. Contrary to the statements of self-purported "financial-aid experts", unclaimed scholarships are a huge problem, and do in fact exist just like unclaimed assets in state coffers. It is more common than you think. National Academy of American Scholars reports correctly that millions of scholarship dollars go unclaimed every year. The blunt fact of the matter is that unclaimed scholarships and allegations of teacher molestations do exist; this fact contradicts the incompetent claims of media pet Mark Kantrowitz.

More victims of Alleged Rapist Laura Whitehurst Come Forward

News reports indicate that alleged rapist Laura Whitehurst was not content with just one single teenage boy. The unattractive, homely-looking, and apparently desperate teacher is alleged to have went after multiple teen boys. As of the date and time of this writing, at least three teen boys have come forward and claimed they were in a dirty relationship with alleged rapist Laura Whitehurst. Despite these claims, Laura Whitehurst remains unjailed because the crime-friendly judge set a bail amount that was the equivalent of a parking ticket.

One of the alleged victims that is willing to speak on the record is now a 22-year-old adult male. Michael Cooper claims he had a sexual affair with the disgraced Laura Whitehurst. However, Michael Cooper also filed a police report and told authorities he does not wish to press charges. A recent picture of Michael Cooper shows him looking rather effeminate, equally unattractive, and wearing two earrings. Earrings are common accessories for women, and effeminate men. In fact, Michael Cooper claimed I didn't feel like a victim; I'm not scarred for life or anything. To be honest, I had a good time when it was going on..

Given his appearance, and the appearance of his partner (alleged rapist Laura Whitehurst), it is not surprising that he thinks he enjoyed the acts of suspected demon Laura Whitehurst, and her apparently dirty body. Psychiatrists report that when two desperate people get together, the common result is a failure and neither person is willing to admit it. What is apparently not being discussed is whether or not Michael Cooper should be charged as being an accessory to rape or some other criminal act since he now admits he had a "good time." In addition, did he have a legal duty to bring this alleged female monster to the attention of law enforcement?

How is it legally possible for two persons to be involved in a mutually consenting criminal act, and only person is charged? Another possibility to explore is whether or not Michael Cooper raped his own teacher, and the teacher refused to press charges?; this sort of judicial musical chairs is typically played against African-American males who engage in inappropriate or appropriate sexually-related acts with Caucasian teachers or young and attractive Caucasian women. Michael Cooper need not fear this allegation since, by all appearances, he is not African-American.

Awestruck Michael Cooper Not Properly
Schooled by Laura Whitehurst

Michael Cooper claims he is not scarred by his dirty encounter with an apparently desperate woman that is now the subject of national media attention. True, Michael Cooper may not have any physical scars. His choice of words suggests that Michael Cooper is nothing but an awestruck boy that cannot understand that the worst scars are not physical. Apparently, his partner in whoredom never taught him the principle concepts of true manhood and masculinity because she was only interested in her own perverse and morally wicked self-indulgence. Michael Cooper has not felt the wrath of God, cannot comprehend that God has a billion different ways to implement His revenge, and neither does Michael Cooper know the exact time, date, circumstance, or hour when God will execute His mighty wrath.

Laura Whitehurst Sex Scandal Affects on California Scholarships

Redlands police claim that Laura Whitehurst had filthy sex with an under-age minor. Moreover, the police also claim that this Teacher-Gone-Wild woman seduced a boy to impregnate her dirty body. What the main-stream media does not discuss is the real prospect of the teen being infected with HIV, Herpes, trichomoniasis, and other sexually-induced diseases or medical issues that might have been ongoing with Laura Whitehurst or her partners. The alleged conduct of Laura Whitehurst is disgusting, appalling, unethical, and extremely perverted. If true, Laura Elizabeth Whitehurst needs to be prosecuted for aggravated sexual assault, not the simple kindergarten charge of unlawful intercourse. Unfortunately, the weak male prosecutors of the case and the crime-friendly judge most likely will not have the guts to treat this suspect like a real crime suspect involved in a brutal rape, abuse, and child endangerment. Civilized members of society simply cannot tolerate a teacher who:

  1. Fails or refuses to distribute valuable and informative California Scholarship literature to California students;
  2. Spends more time scheming to participate in filthy and perverted sex than administering the academic duties of her classroom.
  3. Engages in the rape, abuse, and/or sexual exploitation of young boys and/or young girls who are incapable of defending themselves against sophisticated adult perverts.
.

Fortunately, the Laura Whitehurst sex arrest has no affect on the California Scholarships that we sponsor, or on pending California scholarship applications. However, this Scholarship Blog intends to continue to address affairs and news that have direct and indirect impacts on our mission to get the word out about the great scholarships that we sponsor. Teachers have an ethical duty to not only distribute scholarship literature to eligible students, but also to provide direct hyperlinks to the website of scholarship sponsors.

Message to Laura WhiteHurst, Teen Predators, and persons whom fail to distribute California Scholarship Literature

I understand that the judicial system in all U.S. cities, counties, and towns may not be completely fair. I understand that the accused is considered innocent until or unless proven guilty. I assume that Laura Whitehurst is innocent, but I am not going to dismiss the self-incriminating public statements of her apparent partner Michael Cooper. I understand that the inability of the American Judicial system to consistently and fairly prosecute and punish certain persons due to their hair-color, social-status, celebrity-status, or eye-color or other characteristics makes it difficult to prosecute real criminals.

I understand that an unfair judicial system encourages suspected and convicted criminals like James Holmes, Tim McVeigh, Casey Anthony, Lindsey Lohan, rappers, Adam Laza, Christopher Dorner, etc to demonstrate disrespect for the same judicial or law enforcement system they have benefitted from.

However, the ability to "beat" the system and win a low bail, receive a reduced charge, befriend a crime-friendly judge, or be sent to a cupcake camp rather than being incarcerated into a hard-core prison where minorities and poor whites are sent to, will only inflate this Free-Speech post. Laura WhiteHurst, if in fact, you committed the horrendous crimes alleged, and if you in fact raped these teenage boys or seduced them to engage in a perverted act, gross sins, and/or high crimes, then please confess. If any person knows of any other teacher(s) or educator currently engaging in any improper act(s) with any teenage boy or girl, then please refer the facts to your local law enforcement branch.

Misleading Financial-Aid: Part I

Misleading Financial-Aid, Scholarship Points, and Mark Kantrowitz: Part I

An Internet source reports that the self-styled Financial-Aid Expert Mark Kantrowitz will be joining the Scholarship Points team. Amazing! Incredible! On April 9th, 2013, the company that owns Scholarship Points announced that Mark Kantrowitz will be joining the team as Senior Vice President and Publisher of the Edvisors Network. In this role, Kantrowitz will apparently be responsible for the expansion of quality content across the Edvisors network. Scholarship Points also announced that the self-styled Financial-Aid Expert Mark Kantrowitz will also continue to serve as a "thought leader within the financial aid community."

Scholarship Points claims that "with more than two decades of experience in financial aid, scholarships and student loans, Kantrowitz is an invaluable resource to those seeking information on higher education." This sort of statement is not surprising from a company that operates lottery-style financial-aid programs for students. The marriage of the controversial self-proclaimed "Financial-Aid" Expert Mark Kantrowitz, and the social-gaming scholarship points generator Scholarship Points is certainly an odd couple, and reveals the true character of Mark Kantrowitz.

“We are thrilled to have Mark Kantrowitz join the Edvisors team,” said Joe Kakaty, CEO of Edvisors. “I am extremely pleased to join the Edvisors team,” said Mark Kantrowitz. In 1995, and during the United State's governments' widely advertised "Scholar$$Scam" campaign, the same Mark Kantrowitz criticized hundreds of legitimate scholarship sponsors, including respected organizations like National Academy of American Scholars, and National Merit Scholarship programs, as running a "lottery-style" scholarship. According to Mark Kantrowitz, who was nothing more than a student living in the Squirrel Hill apartments just outside of the main Carnegie Mellon University campus, programs that had been established, licensed, and respected for decades were now "scams" based solely upon his deformed reasoning. For example, The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955 and has always assessed an application fee. For example, National Academy of American Scholars required scholarship applicants to:

  1. Submit an actual written scholarship application;
  2. Submit a letter of recommendation for a scholarship;
  3. Submit three character references for your scholarship;
  4. Be subject to at least two interviews for a scholarship award;
  5. Etc.

I know of no lottery in the entire world that requires a lottery-applicant to be subject to these type of detailed extensive standards. However, according to the mainstream media's "Financial-Aid Expert", all of us apparently dumb Americans who cannot think for ourselves, and who are not allowed to question or critic the mainstream media's "Financial-Aid Expert", we must accept each and every statement made by this alleged "Financial-Aid" expert. We are not allowed to question any remark, theory, or any statement made by Mark Kantrowitz because the main-stream media has anointed Mark Kantrowitz (bald, homely, and uninspiring, as he may be), as America's unquestioned "Financial-Aid" expert. The picture posted above was taken in the mid 1990s. Since that time Mark Kantrowitz has lost a significant amount of hair.

Mark Kantrowitz: Skilled Self-Promotion Financial-Aid Artist

In 1988, the same year National Academy of American Scholars was founded by the academic superior to Mark Kantrowitz, Kantrowitz was still toiling for the MIT campus newspaper. America's "Financial-Aid Expert" was not even in the financial-aid industry when National Academy of American Scholars and many other scholarship sponsors were founded. Nonetheless, the main-stream medias' so-called "Financial-Aid Expert" seemingly claimed to know EVERYTHING about the whole financial-aid industry in 1995. Legal counsel I have spoken to concerning Mark Kantrowitz refer to him as nothing more than a clever "Financial-Aid" self-promotion artist. I know of no state-certification tests or government exams administered by any government authority that proclaims him to be a "Financial-Aid Expert." I know of no brokerage exams administered by the New York stock exchange, or the NASDAQ stock exchange stock markets, or from his friends at the U.S. Department of Education that Mark Kantrowitz has passed that officially certify him to be a "Financial-Aid" expert. I know of no judicial proceedings in which a court admnistrator has certified Mark Kantrowitz as a "Financial-Aid Expert". Heck, I even inquried at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, and they have no records of Mark Kantrowitz as graduating as a "Financial-Aid" expert. In reality, I agree with the legal assessment that Mark Kantrowitz is nothing more than a skilled and cunning self-promotion "Financial-Aid" artist. Plain and simple. I further agree that the main-stream media's constant referral of Mark Kantrowitz as a "Financial-Aid Expert" is simply further evidence that the main-stream cannot be trusted. Mr. Kantrowitz has used his association with placed government sources and others to generate huge personal profits while deceptively promoting himself to be a "Financial-Aid" expert.

Information and public reports suggests that Kantrowitz has routinely twisted, tweaked, and re-fashioned his principles and theories to suit his competitor target(s) of "Financial-Aid." For example, if his target was in California, Kantrowitz would announce that scholarship sponsors in "California" could not e trusted. If his same target moved to "Nevada" then Kantrowitz would alter his script and announce that scholarship sponsors in "Nevada" could not be trusted. If his same target then moved to "Texas", then he would re-fashion his moving script to match the location of his financial-aid target.

Despite his comedy of "financial-aid" reviews, his extensive flaws, his numerous contradictions, and his lack of legitimate credentials as an actual "Financial-Expert", educated and intelligent Americans are being asked to support the main-stream media's false contention that Mark Kantrowitz is a legitimate "Financial-Aid" expert.

The N.Y. York Times or Bloomberg won't make that statement or question the credentials of their "Financial-Aid" expert. Neither will you find meaningful, objective, fair, high-standards, and accurate reporting in any of those publications.

In fact, Scholarship Points conceded in legal papers that its scholarship points system should be compared to social-gaming. Scholarship Points is the organization that operates a "lottery-style" scholarship points system that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office concluded was little more than a social-gaming system of scholarship points. Thus, the United States Patent and Trademark Office correctly and properly denied the trademark application of Scholarship Points by the Scholarship Points company, Edvisors.

Hush!! Don't believe what the the United States Patent and Trademark Office says or does because they are not the personal flunky of Mark Kantrowitz like the N.Y. Times, Bloomberg, and the other media companies detailed below. Many of these main-stream media companies incorrectly reported the arrest of the Boston Marathon murder suspects. If these same main-stream media companies cannot even report accurately as to whether or not a brazen murder suspect is even in police custody then don't expect educated and intelligent Americans, moms, mothers, and women, to believe they are accurate in describing Mark Kantrowitz as a glorified, holy, "Financial-Aid" expert.

"Financial-Aid Expert" Mark Kantrowitz, O.J. Simpson Prosecutor Marcia Clark, and Scholarship Points.

The employment of Mark Kantrowitz with a company like Scholarship Points presents an opportunity to again reassess the credibility, integrity, and character of self-proclaimed "Financial-Aid" expert Mark Kantrowitz. Do you remember the prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson trial? Marcia Clark was hired to be a District Attorney by the county of Los Angeles. She appeared to be so tough as a prosecutor, so careful in her deliberations, so "judicial" and so "lawyer-like". However, when TV cameras began to roll, Marcia appeared to put in more effort for her mascara and make-up than her legal analysis. She wore her finest jewelry, her best dress shoes, and she made sure she smelled like a woman rather than a prosecutor.

Despite the verdict, Marcia did not even think to re-tool her prosecutorial skills to avoid another similar defeat in the future. No. No! When the O.J. Simpson trial ended, and when T.V. producers came calling with a seven-figure annual salary, Marcia Rachel Clark revealed that she is little different than the typical street-walking female prostitutes that Los Angeles County prosecutors prosecute on West Hollywood Boulevard. Yeah. The only difference is the title and the amount of the pay-off. Even as a prosecutor, Marcia Clark always had a price she was willing to accept: nobody met the price until high-rolling T.V. producers (i.e., media Johns) came calling. A true prosecutor is not persuaded when the TV cameras roll, and a true prosecutor will flatly reject each and every offer of the type presented to Marcia Clark.

Like Marcia Clark, Mark Kantrowitz apparently cannot resist the sums offered by Scholarship Points. For a price, prosecutor Marcia Clark was bought just like any typical prostitute strolling the avenues of West Hollywood and Vine. For a price, Mark Kantrowitz (the same person who presented a fiery speech before the U.S. Senate denouncing "lottery-style" scholarships) has demonstrated that he also has a price tag. So-called "Financial-Aid Expert" Mark Kantrowitz owes his financial-aid readers, and the public, an explanation of the financial details of his new arrangement with Scholarship Points, and why he has apparently switched his ethics.

What financial-aid dollars will Scholarship Points be paying to the so-called Financial-aid expert? Why is so-called "Financial-Aid Expert" Mark Kantrowitz now deciding to accept a salary from a "lottery-style" Scholarship sponsor when in fact there are detailed and extensive quotes from the same so-called "Financial-Aid" expert Mark Kantrowitz in the 1990s that denounce such companies? "Financial-Aid" expert Mark Kantrowitz claimed that companies that operate like Scholarship Points were "scams." Scholarshps sponsored by Scholarship Points require NO WRITTEN ESSAY; NO WRITTEN LETTER OF RECOMMENDATATION; and, NO REFERRAL LETTERS. Either Mark deliberately Kantrowitz lied in 1995 and 1996, or he really believed his own statements and is now simply selling out his ethics to the highest bidder. Perhaps a more accurate statement from Mark Kantrowitz should be: "The company is not a scam as long as Mark Kantrowitz gets paid."

Personally, I have never met either Marcia Clark, or the media's "Financial-Aid" expert Mark Kantrowitz. I have no desire to meet either of them just as I have no desire to associate with prostitutes or persons who lack strict standards of ethics and integrity.

Money can buy any prostitute, but money can't buy a man or woman with true integrity and principles.

Understandably, my comments may not be welcome by everyone. However, I do not feel that I need to apologize for my personal high standards or for pointing out the facts. Scholarship Points hired Mark Kantrowitz, and now the company must accept his past baggage of denouncing the precise business model of his new employer.

Now that Scholarship Points has linked itself to the hip, and groin, of so-called "Financial-Aid" expert Mark Kantrowitz, it is only fair to re-educate the public to the past statements made by Mark Kantrowitz regarding companies that operate so-called "lottery-style" scholarships like Scholarship Points; an opinion even agreed to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Naturally, we should not expect that a single main-stream media publication will report on their so-called "Financial-Aid" expert Mark Kantrowitz. The main-stream media is generally either inaccurate and/or deliberately misleading. Check-mate main-stream media! That's your so-called "Financial-Aid" expert.

In my next report, Part II, I will discuss Scholarship Points in a fashion that also highlights the history of FastWeb, Mark Kantrowitz, and FinAid, and how these entities and persons are inter-related in the Financial-Aid industry. I will discuss those facts in Part II, as well as the relationship of Mark Kantrowitz to advertisers that were later implicated in the student loan scandal, as well as the hype statements made by Financial-Aid artist Mark Kantrowitz that led to the passage of one of the worst, most wasteful, and the least effective pieces of government legislation in U.S. history. I will also discuss how the Kantrowitz-promoted legislation arguably led to the student-loan scandal, and higher college tuition for millions of college students. Stay tuned.
